As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Emergency Response in San Francisco, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $27.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity, hazards, facility issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; contact emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations and updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
