Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time Unarmed for a San Francisco, CA site. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service, perform security procedures, respond to incidents, and patrol assigned areas to deter wrongdoing while ensuring compliance with site policies. It is a part-time position with consistent hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain incident and patrol documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment while reporting suspicious activity and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in San Francisco, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.93 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat08:45 AM - 05:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
