As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or unauthorized access, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Assist with access control, incident documentation, and communication with site management and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Preferred: Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Preferred: Possess a guard card or license.
• Preferred: Have access control and badge experience.
• Preferred: Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
