Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check required by law and Allied Universal policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Orlando, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a church and cultural institution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and event‑related questions, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
