As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Mount Vernon, WA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit centers, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, passenger areas, and assigned facilities; report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site personnel, transit operations, and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and complete required reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
