Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol at a Washington, DC site. The position offers flexible, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the schedule platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $24.00 per hour. The role includes a six‑month anchor shift commitment and potential to scale to up to 40 hours weekly with additional shifts across sites.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel at a passenger rail transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of station areas, platforms, parking facilities, tracks-adjacent perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and other critical events following site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations to supervisors.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Readiness in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a passenger rail transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of station areas, platforms, parking facilities, tracks-adjacent perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to supervisors and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
