Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Arlington, WA. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Pay rate is $20.85 per hour with a six-month anchor shift commitment. This part-time position supports a flexible schedule, customer service duties, and responsible patrol duties across assigned site locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with access control, badges, and alarm panels is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and a valid driver’s license are required or preferred as noted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and utility customers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and public responders when directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
