Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Jessup, PA. This role offers flexible, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering customer service to clients and visitors.

The position provides part-time hours with a six-month anchor shift commitment and opportunities to scale up to a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site-specific procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, docks, yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeters.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, logging visitors/drivers, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations and actions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Jessup, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience (C115): Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a security-related role. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security protocols and procedures effectively.
• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should possess experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges is essential.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for various tasks, including data entry, communication, and accessing company systems.
• Customer Service Experience (B219): Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate security-related reports and shift activity logs, including patrol findings, access-control activity, and incidents.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
