Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Tablet Patrol in De Soto, KS. The role offers reliable, fixed‑shift hours with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $22.28 per hour with a fixed Thursday 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM shift. This position supports flexible scheduling and pathways to full-time roles through paid training programs.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check is required by law.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report suspicious behavior and maintenance needs.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate with leadership, client representatives, and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Tablet Patrol in De Soto, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, office areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
