Allied Universal in Pomona, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Service Support to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a cultural institution. This role offers flexible hours, fixed shifts, and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will complete incident reports, patrol premises, monitor access, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Service Support in Pomona, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and event-related inquiries, and report unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
