Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced (Part Time) at our Atlanta, GA site. This flexible position offers reliable hours with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities include screening visitors, assisting employees and the public, operating screening equipment, and enforcing site policies. A minimum of 1 year in security is required; CPR/First Aid preferred; a valid Guard Card is advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of persons, belongings, and authorized items in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors through designated entry points, and report prohibited items or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying applicable contacts.
• Maintain accurate activity, visitor, and incident documentation while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting orderly operations.

Job Description

That’s why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Screening in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”: You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
