Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in West Jordan, UT to provide reliable, customer-focused security services with fixed anchor shifts and optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

We offer structured hours, opportunities to progress toward full-time work, and a supportive team environment. Minimum security experience and a high school diploma are required, with licenses and CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, visitors, vehicles, and materials in accordance with site procedures, including verifying credentials and documenting access activity.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and designated entry and exit locations to help support controlled movement throughout the distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Support in West Jordan, UT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
