• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and facility concerns, and report observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Assist with access control activities, visitor direction, and adherence to site entry requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Perimeter Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri07:15 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology‑focused location while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working conditions may vary throughout the site.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and facility concerns, and report observations through established communication and documentation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with access control activities, visitor direction, and adherence to site entry requirements to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
