Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Salt Lake City, UT. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with the option to earn more by picking up extra shifts. Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, professional front-desk presence for tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors at a retail location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying visitor credentials, managing sign‑in processes, issuing temporary passes, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Receive and document calls, deliveries, visitor inquiries, and security‑related concerns; communicate relevant information to site personnel and/or management.
• Monitor lobby activity, access‑control systems, cameras, alarms, and/or other assigned systems, reporting unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergency notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
