Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Equipment Operator in Charlotte, NC. This role offers reliable hours with the anchor shift and opportunities to increase earnings by picking up additional shifts across sites.

Ideal candidates have prior security-related experience, including alarm panel, X-ray screening, and access control. You will use company tools to ensure safety and compliance while maintaining excellent customer service at the site.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and authorized property entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established screening procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, damaged seals, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations and actions in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, dock doors, entrance points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
