Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Columbus, OH to provide reliable, flexible hours and gain hands-on experience. You’ll work with screening equipment, deliver customer service, and have opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

A six-month commitment applies, with a pay rate of $19.75 per hour. Fixed anchor shifts create a reliable base schedule, while the Earn More program lets you expand earnings across

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with site-specific procedures, using assigned screening equipment and maintaining a professional, respectful demeanor.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Equipment Readiness in Columbus, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 12:30 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
