Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screener to provide reliable screening, customer service, and access control at a government site. Pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

Schedule includes a fixed anchor shift with optional extra shifts to increase earnings, offering flexibility and a path toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include screening visitors, operating equipment, verifying credentials, and maintaining screening

Formación

• At least one year of security-related experience.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screener in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct entry screening of persons and permitted items in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and communicate entry requirements in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Maintain accurate screening-related logs and reports, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
