Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Atlanta, GA. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings, and a schedule that can scale toward up to 40 hours per week.

Pay rate is $14.99 per hour. Responsibilities include customer service, patrolling sites, responding to incidents, monitoring restricted areas, and completing daily reports.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required according to federal/state/local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, medical situations, and critical events calmly and following site procedures; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and restricted locations; observe and report unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and potential loss-prevention concerns to site leadership.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri05:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
