Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Patrol Driver to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and deliver responsive customer service.

The role offers a fixed shift with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, with the potential to scale hours up to 40 per week and earnings growth.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, electrical equipment locations, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit of authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activity accurately and promptly in required reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
