Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. This role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol, you will perform security procedures, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while supporting tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2+ years in security supervision, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors using site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exteriors, and parking areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document security concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with relevant personnel.
• Prepare daily activity reports and incident documentation for site management.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and document security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
