Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Route Planning in Chicago, IL. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The position pays $22.00 per hour and includes flexible Saturday hours. You will perform customer service, conduct patrols, observe activity, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route Planning in Chicago, IL

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while following site‑specific procedures.
• Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through a professional presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
