Allied Universal in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide reliable security coverage at a designated site. This role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts to boost earnings through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Responsibilities include customer service, patrols, incident reporting and assisting with access control. The position requires compliance with all site procedures and laws. Competitive hourly pay applies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers and visitors following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location including sales areas, entrances and parking areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to store personnel or leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures with documented details.
• Assist with access control, escorts, and other security duties to deter theft and disruptive behavior.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Minneapolis, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Assist with access control, customer and employee escorts, and other security-related duties that help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
