Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Shakopee, MN. This role provides reliable, fixed hours at a designated site with the flexibility to pick-up extra shifts to increase earnings.

You will deliver excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Shakopee, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology‑focused location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of dynamic conditions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
