Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Hazard Assessment in Pasadena, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and earning potential while serving a healthcare site.

As part of the team, you will deliver customer service to patients and visitors, perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents calmly.

• Background investigation, drug screen and licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Hazard Assessment in Pasadena, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:30 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
