Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Route Inspection in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

Pay rate is $14.50 per hour. Responsibilities include customer service at a manufacturing site, unarmed patrols, access control, incident response, and safety observations.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as part of employment.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security procedures and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, property damage, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
