Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout various locations to identify unusual activity and security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and communicate observations to site contacts and leadership.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and maintain professional interactions in a fast-paced environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Customer Care in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing, production, food service, warehouse, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional interactions in a fast‑paced industrial and food/beverage location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
