Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts across multiple sites to boost earnings.

The position pays $14.50 per hour and schedules include Sundays 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Responsibilities include security procedures, patrols, access control, incident response, and report writing to maintain safety and order.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per federal, state and local laws will apply.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, access points and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document arrivals, departures and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, solution-oriented manner and document actions taken.
• Complete accurate activity and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
