Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Houston, TX. Pay rate is $14.50 per hour with a fixed shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings. 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document arrivals and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and document actions.
• Complete accurate activity and incident reports and patrol documentation with a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
