Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Deterrence in Charlotte, NC. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, up to 40 hours per week.

The pay rate is $20.08 per hour, with a six-month anchor shift commitment and opportunities for progression within the company.

Formación

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency response when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, entrances, stockroom-adjacent areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate matters as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur11:00 AM - 08:00 PMFri11:00 AM - 08:00 PMSun12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, stockroom‑adjacent areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and escalating matters as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
