• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain professional interactions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify site contacts or emergency services.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Alarm Response in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.64 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain professional interactions while supporting site access procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
