Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guest Service Desk in Charlotte, NC. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at a designated site, with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will greet visitors, verify credentials, answer calls, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. A college degree and at least one year of security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A college degree is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Verify visitor credentials and issue passes, maintain logs, and direct guests to appropriate areas.
• Answer and route calls, provide location information, and maintain professional communications.
• Monitor lobby activity and report unusual or unauthorized activity per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guest Service Desk in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.93 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed07:00 PM - 01:15 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk of a financial institution by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide general location information, and maintain professional communications with employees, clients, and visitors.
• Observe lobby and entrance activity, report unusual or unauthorized activity, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A college degree is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
