As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Access Control in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.16 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a financial institution location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious persons, packages, or behaviors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, using assigned equipment and following applicable laws and Allied Universal and site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately; communicate relevant information to site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
