Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Whitsett, NC. This flexible, reliable role supports a technology-focused site with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Responsibilities include customer service to staff and visitors, patrols of the premises, monitoring access points, and reporting incidents. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma, background check, and possible drug screening.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns accurately and promptly in required reports or systems.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
