Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Assignment in Shepherdsville, KY. The role offers flexible, shift-based hours with fixed anchor shifts and additional pick-up opportunities to increase earnings.

Pay is $17.63 per hour, with a schedule including DayTime and Saturday shifts. Responsibilities include customer service at client sites, incident response, and regular patrols of facilities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, offices, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
