Allied Universal in Burlington, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol. The role offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it suits you.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with a Fri/Sat night schedule. The position combines fixed anchor shifts with an Earn More program, letting you gain experience across multiple sites and grow toward a full-time schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and escalate following procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols across retail areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor activity for suspicious behavior and report observations.
• Assist with access control and daily activity/incident reports.

Pay Rate

$17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor customer and employee activity for suspicious behavior, potential loss prevention concerns, and policy violations, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and maintaining accurate daily activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
