Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors at a government waste management location.

• Monitor access and verify authorized entry, documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms with calm, professional problem-solving and notify appropriate contacts.
• Prepare daily activity and incident reports in line with procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Manchester Township, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government waste management location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
