Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Oceanside, CA. This role provides fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

The position offers a reliable part-time schedule, opportunities to scale up to 40 hours per week, and a pay rate of $20.25 per hour. A six-month anchor shift commitment and background checks are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a financial institution by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the site and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity per site procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate information to site management.

Job Schedule

• Wed: 08:30 AM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, members, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution, including exterior areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site‑specific access‑control procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
