Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols on the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor traffic and observe for unusual conditions or behavior; report concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally following location procedures.
• Document observations and incidents and communicate information to relevant personnel.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol Response in New Albany, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:30 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor customer and employee traffic, observe for unusual conditions or behavior, and report security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established location procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
