Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at the York, PA site to guard clients across logistics and distribution. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

  • All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for communication and task management.
  • Emails should be composed using standard email clients and should adhere to the formatting and etiquette guidelines outlined in this policy.
  • Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with basic computer functions, including but not limited to, email composition, attachment handling, and calendar management.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):

  • Candidates should highlight any relevant customer service experience in their email communications.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle logs; issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
