Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an industrial manufacturing location, following access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue temporary access, and maintain access logs.
• Control access for vehicles, vendors, and deliveries according to site procedures and direct to appropriate check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, production areas, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

A Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in York, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain accurate access‑related logs and records.
• Control access for vehicles, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate check‑in areas and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
