Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable coverage at a designated site, with a fixed shift and a six-month commitment.

The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities to earn more through the shift-claim program, access to paid training, and a path toward full-time hours while supporting patients and staff on a healthcare campus.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a healthcare facility reception area by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies.
• Welcome patients, visitors, staff, and vendors; verify credentials, provide directions, and communicate visitor requirements.
• Monitor access to designated entrances and maintain visitor logs, badges, and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting hospital personnel or emergency responders as directed.
• Observe and report unusual activity and security concerns while maintaining a professional front-desk presence.

Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a healthcare facility reception area by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and security‑related policies.
• Welcome patients, visitors, staff, and vendors; verify credentials, provide directions, and communicate visitor requirements in a professional and courteous manner.
• Monitor access to designated entrances and maintain visitor logs, badges, and other required documentation in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Observe and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and security‑related incidents to the appropriate contacts while maintaining a professional front‑desk presence.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
