Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Checkpoint Verification. Pay is $17.00/hour for a fixed Friday night shift, with the option to pick up extra shifts via the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program at multiple sites.

The role requires a minimum of one year of security experience and a valid driver’s license. A background check and drug screen are conducted; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points, verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Report security observations and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Checkpoint Verification

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

1. Security Experience:

   • Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience.
   • Hiring managers are responsible for verifying the candidate's security experience through reference checks and interviews.

2. Valid Driver's License:

   • Candidates must hold a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located. This requirement is essential for positions that involve travel or driving as part of the job responsibilities.
   • Candidates will be required to provide a copy of their valid driver's license during the onboarding process.

Job Schedule:

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and maintain accurate entry and visitor records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report security-related observations, access-control concerns, and incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
