Job summary

Allied Universal in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Enhanced to provide reliable security services at a corporate site. The role offers fixed shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, with a six-month commitment on the anchor site.

You will perform security procedures, monitor access, respond to incidents, and coordinate with site personnel and leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted under applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, access concerns, and other security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor communications systems, alarm activity, cameras, and other site systems; document events and dispatch actions per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and support a professional environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch Console in Pleasanton, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $30.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
