Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Customer Service in Minneapolis, MN. This role provides flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra hours and grow through paid training.

You’ll support customers, visitors, and staff while maintaining safety and security across the site. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), and pass background and drug screenings.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Customer Service in Minneapolis, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity for unusual conditions, helping to deter theft, unauthorized access, and other security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
