You will deliver customer service, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and document activity per site procedures.

Qualifications

• One year or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site procedures and security protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, controlled manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity.
• Observe and report hazards or maintenance concerns to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.02 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, process‑adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity according to site requirements.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
