Allied Universal in Wyoming, MI is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Badge Control to provide reliable, flexible hours at a fixed site with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The role supports access-control operations, incident response, and patrol duties at a logistics site. It offers pathways to full-time roles, paid training, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Control in Wyoming, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$16.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support gate operations, and help to deter unauthorized access to the facility, yard, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established security‑related procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, loading zones, and exterior grounds; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
