As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Administration in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Valid Driver's License:

• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that meets the following criteria:
  • AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123): Candidates must comply with the Australian driver's license regulations, ensuring they hold a valid license that is not expired or suspended.
  • Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124): Candidates must also have a valid driver's license that is recognized in the state where the job is located.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):

  • Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes basic knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and the ability to navigate digital platforms effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):

  • Candidates should possess relevant customer service experience. This includes the ability to interact positively with customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance in a professional manner.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to associates, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control points at a retail distribution location by verifying authorization, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian activity, reporting unusual conditions and access concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established communication and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
