Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while performing security procedures and responding to emergencies.
• Screen packages, shipments, and belongings; identify prohibited items and report findings.
• Monitor access points and movement of people and vehicles, verifying authorization as directed.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and coordinate with site contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.

As a Security Officer Part Time Badge Check in Martinsburg, WV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, personal belongings, and/or individuals in accordance with site procedures; identify prohibited items or irregularities and report findings to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and the movement of personnel and vehicles within the distribution location, verifying authorization as directed by site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
