Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Administration in Columbus, MS. This role offers reliable part-time hours with a fixed shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service, manage access control, monitor site security, and maintain logs while adhering to site protocols. The position features $16 per hour pay and a Thursday night shift.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Administration in Columbus, MS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific, security‑related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facility entrances, including verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate observations, access concerns, and incidents to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, completing required reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
