Allied Universal in Miami, FL, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide armed patrols and customer service at a government site. Earn more by picking up extra shifts through the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program, with a six‑month anchor commitment.

The role offers fixed shifts, opportunities to move toward full‑time hours up to 40 per week, and comprehensive on‑site training as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of personnel, vehicles, and activities entering or leaving the location.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Deescalation in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

  • Tue – 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
How This Role Works:
  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
